No hardwiring needed — the solar panel keeps the battery topped up and parking mode has been recording for weeks without draining my car battery. Footage is sharp enough to read plates in daylight. Installation took me about twenty minutes with the rear cam routed along the headliner.

The 4K front camera captures license plates clearly during the day and the app makes downloading clips easy over WiFi. Night footage is good but not amazing — plates get hard to read beyond a couple car lengths. The lithium battery plus solar means I never worry about parking surveillance killing my starter. Docked one star because the rear camera cable routing was fiddly in my SUV.

Installed it, formatted the card, haven't touched it in two months. Footage is crisp, solar keeps it alive. Exactly what I wanted.

The camera itself records fine, but the solar panel adhesive failed in the summer heat and the panel fell off twice. Bought better 3M tape myself and it's fine now, but that shouldn't be on me.
